Hey,I popped this in Tangster's domain... but i guess anyone can pop in. I have always been a bristle worm fan. I actually bought them from ipsf and have several of them in my tanks. They are small (about 2 in long and as big around as a no 2 pencil lead). So No problem....I have considered them a main stay of live rock.

Recently I shut down an old tank. Drained it down to the sand line and carried it out. I filled it up with hose water and the next day I noticed about a thousand bristle worm bodies.

Yes, I hate to admit it but my new nick name is "the bristle worm killer".

Question? Can there be too many bristle worms?

I don’t think bristle worms are bad at all – kinda disgusting in my opinion.  But as a tank ages they multiply and that’s the bottom line – great little sand shifters !!  When I feed my tank I can see plenty poke out from under the rocks.
