I use one of those supper strong magnet's to clean the glass....not one of the cheap ass mag-floats, the $200 strong ass one. I tend to stay away from the sides and bottom, just a couple of inches. I don't want to grab sand at at bottom and scratch my tank - and I don;t want to rip the silicon from the corners (yes, I have done both already....which is why I now stay away). But as time goes by corraline covers the base, sides and the top of the glass...once its growing it creeps out and before I know it I am looking at 4 inches or so all around the front of my tank. It's been a bit over a year since I cleaned it last, but I tended to it all today. I use a razor blade and it does a great job. Does anyone else end up doing this annually?

Yes well at least you don't have to use a razor blade.. I did get you the 5 inch wide scraper with changeable blades and several packs of blades so stop you moaning..

My arm has turned into salt. The green stuff seems to like my glass, the pink is now starting. My fish nibble at my hair they are so used to me cleaning, they think I'm just a big fishy friend.

Bean and rice ?? hittin' the bottle eh?
Anywho -- I have noticed some green/brown spots growing on my glass, tough to scrub off and really requiring a blade to clean it up. Is this green coralline? if I don;t hit the magnet across the glass every couple days by the third I am in the tank scrapping --
