Damn buddy that tank kicks ass , I wish this one here looked as good. I think we got rid of the byropsis finally ? Not opening the cigars and bar yet (: But I have been really loading the system with foods and nutrients and all to see if I can spur its growth again before I start to totally rebuild and stock it again.. Lost some beautiful colonies of sps corals makes me sick to look at it . When that algae takes hold it takes hold..

tanks Yall! That frogspawn is at least cantelope sized if not a bit bigger. I need to frag it but I am too chicken. it just lookes awesome. starting to kill things around it though. thankfully it and the branching hammer get along well. the hammer is about softball sized. lots of little heads underneath too...
Rodger, let me know if you need anything and I am sure it could be shipped that way. I need to spend a whole day fragging stuff to get some room. I can no longer accept any new additions.

I may well take you up on it , I'll send you the shipping supplies and a shipping label and insulated box when I'm ready those Monti's are beautiful.. As for the frog spawn Simplest coral I can think of to cut really Just snip off the heads about 1/2 inch where the smaller branch leaves the main stalk just like a tree pruning . And you can do single heads also But if you cut it then you will see new bubs pop out also (: Just like a bush .. I use simple old Dyke's to snip it..

Yes think of it as a flower say a rose or carnation and you wanted to put on in a button lapel hole you have the stem that expands in to the rose Hip the larger green thing that turns into the actual flower bud its self then if you think about it like that then you will see where to snip the bud from the stalk We had one at the shop with about 100 head I cut them all from the main stalk/ trunk and set them in glue onto little 1x1 squares and with in a few months their where all sending out new buds I try to cut them about at least 1/2 below the hip so to have a little stub of the stem . Like the old days with a carnation in the lapel thats about how you want to cut it .. Try one to ease the nerves it will do fine .. You have to keep'em seperated Hell you frag it you can sell it for like 25.00 a head these days .. They lost all of my corals at the shop just about since I have been laid up. And I get asked all te time if I have F/S

I'm going to give this tank a week or two longer I have the shop in Richmond I work with that I spoke to Scott there last week and he has a personnel tank at home that is stocked with about all the corals he got from me . I gave a few local guys I trusted frags of all my corals even many small corals to spread out my stock , Just in case a Hurricane ot tornado put me out of utilities for a few days or weeks . He has lots of my old Blue tort and teal acro and a huge deep blue Minti with a green to white rim and a really red Monti also from cuttings I gave him. He is supposed to call today or tomorow and send up a box of stuff ? we did not loose everything just my acros and monti's that made up 85% of my coral stock The lime green birds nest still kept growing and we don't have any softs in there except for a few things the boss lady put in there ..
